Seven T Shorty Lena, 2017 bay roan AQHA gelding... SOLD!!
"Shorty" is a 3yo bay roan gelding with a stellar pedigree (by an own son of Docs Hickory and out of a Peptoboonsmal/Shorty Lena bred mare). He's a little guy right now (14h!), but he'll definitely fill out and grow some more. This is the sweetest horse- he wants to be your friend and tries to please. Shorty has about 20 rides under saddle. He's been easy to start, and even with my schedule and somewhat inconsistent work, I always pick up with him right where we left off. I've had him out on the trails a time or two- he's definitely still green, but he is not spooky- no buck, no nonsense. Shorty is a super good-minded, easy-going prospect- he's more on the lazy side. I can see him suiting a lot of different directions- for sure a kid's horse down the road with more miles! Would make a fantastic trail/ranch versatility/barrel or sorting/penning horse. And you can't beat the color! UTD on vaccines, coggins, dental work. Price will increase with training.
The video below shows his first time riding across a tarp, swinging a rope off of him, and dragging something under saddle :-)

Aurora- 2017 (Grade) Trakehner mare- SOLD
Aurora is a 3yo Trakehner filly. Unfortunately, her papers did not follow her when she left her breeder, so we are not sure of her pedigree and she sells as grade. She currently stands approx. 15.2h. Aurora has been handled extensively- she ties/cross-ties, loads, bathes and enjoys attention. She is utd on vaccines, deworming, farrier, dental work and has a current coggins. This filly has a wonderful, quiet temperament. She is not yet under saddle, but she has been lunged and is started wearing a saddle. She is very smart and has been willing with everything we have tried to teach her. She has a cute, hunter-type trot and a balanced canter. Aurora is a sweet filly and is sadly offered for sale to a fantastic new home. Please scroll down for more photos. Located in Bessemer City, NC
In Shore Money- 2004 AQHA mare... SOLD!!
“Lady” is a finished cutter with ACHA earnings. She is also a finished sorter/penner and knows her job. She stands approx 15.1h (I will stick her when I get a chance). This would be a good horse for a beginner or a newcomer to the sport. This mare is broke broke, but she’s laid back and doesn't get fresh. She is smooth in the pen - she’s a good one for someone just learning the game. She is easy and uncomplicated to ride. I've used her in the pasture to bring cows up and check fence. No nonsense with this girl... whatever you ask her to do, she just does it. Sound, no vices, no maintenance, currently barefoot and utd coggins.
Seven S Calamity- 2016 AQHA mare.... SOLD!
"Seven" is a 3yo AQHA mare. She stands about 14.1h and is by NCHA futurity champion Rockin W and out of a Real Gun mare. Seven was started as a cutter and remained in cutting training on and off until the beginning of 2019. She is a very level-headed, quiet filly, has a good handle and a ton of cow. Would make an excellent ranch sorter/penner, or ranch horse.
Southern Boon Boy, 2014 AQHA stallion... SOLD!
This has been my personal horse since 2017. Stands 15h and is very (VERY) well broke. Lopes off, good stop, neck rein and will work a gate. (Watch the videos :-) ) Kinaat has been used to check fence and sort/pen calves at a sale barn- he will sure enough watch a cow. I've ponied a few colts with him and have swung a rope off of him. He'd make an incredible rope horse, or use him as a gorgeous trail mount. Probably too much handle for a complete beginner, but he'd work for a kid, especially if the kid can ride a little bit. Sound, currently barefoot but has been shod.
***PLEASE NOTE: This horse has an old corneal scar in his left eye. It has not caused any problems and he can see just fine. I have a statement verifying this from an exam performed by a veterinarian on 3/21/19 and will gladly release that document to interested parties.
UPDATE: 3/29/19: New videos!!

TA Aticus, 2015 Pure Polish Arabian gelding- SOLD!!!!!
This guy is an awesome prospect for whatever you have in mind... endurance? Dressage? Reining? ...whatever it is, he can do it. I bought Aticus in 2018 as my next cow pony. He has an incredible work ethic and always tries his best to give you the right answer. Unfortunately, Aticus is NOT STARTED under saddle (see below)- he has had all ground work done and I have thrown a leg over him, but have not been able to continue his training. Right now he is green and sensitive and will need a confident and experienced handler/rider until he has some more training behind him, but he is as sweet as pie and wants to be your best friend. I measured Aticus with a stick last year at 15h. Currently barefoot and has great feet! Good home a priority, please inquire for more info.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to life changes and an unexpected move, I have not been able to continue Aticus's training. I have sat on him a handful of times (see below for a brief video of him with a rider), but while I am moving I don't have time to keep going. Sadly, I need to sell him quickly and am negotiable on price to the right situation. If you are interested in him, don't hesitate to shoot me an offer.

2015 AQHA mare- SALE PENDING..
"Cat" is a nice cutting bred 2yo filly by a son of Paddys Irish Whiskey. She is lightly started under saddle and has been absolutely fantastic- NO buck, bolt, etc. Cat is a smaller filly- stands perhaps 13.3-14h (will stick her if needed). She has a fantastic disposition and is quiet enough at this stage to suit a variety of directions. She would make a wonderful sorting/penning prospect.
Sandman's Ebony Dream, 2006 KMSHA mare- SOLD
Dream is a 15.3h black Kentucky Mountain Saddle horse mare. I don't often get to ride gaited horses, but I can honestly say this mare has the nicest way of going. She is a cadillac on the trails, is surefooted and willing over rough terrain and through mud and water, has been around traffic, including bicycles, 4wheelers, motorcycles, etc, and is level headed through it all. Will flat walk on a loose rein, but pick her up and she'll rack all day- VERY nice four-beat gait, not pacey. Rides in a snaffle or a curb. Dream has good ground manners, loads and ties easily and is good while riding in a group. She will neck rein. This is the golden ticket if you're looking for your next trail horse. I am currently enjoying this smooth ride, but would sell her- please inquire for more information. Current coggins, shod in front.

(Will post name when I get home and look at papers) 2006 AQHA gelding- SOLD-
2006 AQHA gelding, approx. 15h and stout built. I just acquired this horse under the guise that he was a pretty broke pony- and to be sure he probably was at one point, BUT- this fella has been ridden by beginners in the last year or two and it spoiled him; unfortunately, that means he won’t work for what I got him for, and since I don’t have time to straighten him out, he’s looking for someone who can. I will say that he’s made HUGE improvements in the week or ten days of riding I’ve put on him, and I have no doubt that he’ll turn around with a little more time. Nothing he tried with me was dangerous or difficult to sit- unless you just don’t know how to ride. Crow-hopping when asked to canter, and had difficulty steering and stopping at first… and moving forward off of the leg to boot. He’s currently doing well with all of this, but I’d say he needs a good bit more time to be consistent with it.
Albiorix, 2016 AHA colt- SOLD!
"Oryx" is a yearling colt by FMR Speedi Jose/*Korsarz, and out of a daughter of KA Czubuthan. This colt is bred to the nines and boasts an old world Pure Polish pedigree of tried and tested athletes and has no crosses to either Palas or *Bask. He should suit about any performance program- endurance, racing, sport horse and beyond. HARC eligible by pedigree. Oryx has been handled extensively since birth- he ties/cross-ties, bathes, handles his feet, loads, leads and has been ponied both on and off the farm and on trails. He has a STELLAR disposition, is very, very friendly and intelligent and learns quickly. He will make a horse-of-a-lifetime for his new owner. Located near Charlotte, NC

2008 OTTB mare- SOLD
LOCATED IN GREENVILLE, SC
16.1h grey TB mare, retired in November of last year after her final race- just shy of $50k in earnings. This is by far my hands down favorite OTTB- I had her for four months before her first start (she started racing as a 5yo), galloped her in the fields by herself, she's done flat work in the arena and in an indoor, and before she ever made it to the track she had a good bit of bend and some minimal lateral work at that time. She is currently in training and will be started over fences soon. Price will increase as she progresses. This mare is ALL CLASS- she is business, all the time, and she will try her heart out for you. With that being said, she is big moving and forward- *not* for a beginner or a kid. She was a distance horse- lacks the speed to make a barrel prospect- a big striding sort, no quick moves or turn of foot. I think she'd be a great foxhunter, jumper, lower level eventer/dressage horse. I got this mare up out of the pasture with the intent of keeping her- as I said, she's my favorite... but I am recovering from an injury last year and need to cut back on the number of horses at the farm. Brand new coggins. Currently barefoot.

Cattin Cupcake, 2012 AQHA mare- SOLD-
"Cupcake" is a 5yo cutting bred mare by a son of Docs Hickory and out of a daughter of Cattin (NCHA 130k+). She was started as a 2yo and was then turned out until earlier this spring. Stands around 14-14.1h. She currently has about 30d riding and has been very quiet. No nonsense or silly business with this girl. She is quiet and willing, has been very easy to train on and would probably suit a kid or lesson program with some more miles under saddle. I have ridden Cupcake on cattle at the house a few times as well. Cupcake does well both inside and outside and gets along well with other horses.

HS Freckles Lil Lena, 2006 AQHA gelding- May be for sale in the future, please contact me for info
"Rex" is a cutting bred 10yr old gelding by Dulces Smart Lena (NCHA earnings over $175k). He was started and trained as a cutter but was never shown. Rides English/Western, trail rides, has been ridden for kids. This horse is QUIET and very easygoing, would work as a husband horse or a kid's horse, though I'd prefer he go to a home where his primary rider is somewhat more experienced because of his level of training. Rex has an awesome handle, lopes off, has all the buttons you'd expect from a good broke horse. Awesome, awesome sorting horse or may make a good practice cutter with a tuneup. Sound and sane. Video on cattle is pending, will update when available. Located in Gastonia, NC.

Keep Miss Six, 2013 AQHA mare- SOLD~~Miss Six is a 3yr old filly by an own son of Playgun out of a Peptoboonsmal daughter. She was started as a cutter but didn't make it. Has been started on the flag and cattle. I bought her as a sorting prospect but I also think she'd make a good rope or ranch versatility horse- or even barrels, though I haven't started her on the pattern. We have tracked a few cows at the house and worked a couple on the fence. This is a big, quiet filly with a nice way of going. She is easy going and tractable under saddle- not spooky or silly, good on trails and to check fence, pretty broke with a good handle, will work a gate, nice stop, lopes off, rolls back, etc.

Equiford, 2008 AHA gelding- SOLD!
Equiford (*Equifor/Gazal al Shaqab x Elektera/*Goliat), 2008 Polish Arabian gelding. "Dually" stands 14.2h and has excellent bone and a stout build. I have known this horse since he was a 6yo. He possesses incredible stamina and athleticism and would be a fantastic endurance horse for a serious rider looking to excel. He has a low resting heart rate, and he will go. all. day. That being said, he is NOT A BEGINNERS HORSE. If you don't know how to ride, you won't be able to ride him. I promise. Dually is a sweet, friendly sort of guy- he loves people. Even so, he will test his rider and will push the envelope as far as he is able. No, he's not dangerous or mean-spirited, just playful and energetic.... If you know what you're doing and you are a go-getter with a good sense of humor, you will love him. He is a blast to ride. Dually is among the most athletic horses I have ever sat on. He has an incredible stop and excellent use of his hindquarters. He also has a good handle, neck reins, side-passes, lopes off, lead changes and will work a gate. I have used him to sort and pen cattle, he will jump small fences and is great on trails. He has the typical arab-look thing, but he has no quit in him. His first real big boy trail ride a few years back, he slipped going up a steep incline in a rainstorm and never quit trying, even when he went down to his knees. Dually is located in Gastonia, NC. He is current on all vetwork, including dental work and coggins, trimming and deworming. He is currently barefoot.
Flyinex Leo Frosty, 2001 AQHA mare- Decided to keep her for now..
Frosty is a 2001 AQHA reg. 15h cow and foundation bred mare. She is registered as a blue roan but is more likely a bay roan. I am selling Frosty for a friend who has owned her for 6 years but is cutting back on his stock. Frosty was previously used as a rope horse. She has a lot of handle, neck reins and works off of leg pressure. She lopes off easily and knows her leads. Her owner raised several colts off of her in the last few years- we got her out of the pasture and after one ride used her as a leadline/lungeline horse for beginner riders in a summer camp. Although we have used this mare for beginners, I would not recommend her to a home with a timid or beginning rider simply because she is very forward moving and responsive. She has not ever offered to buck or rear under saddle and has excellent ground manners. Frosty is currently shod in front and will sell with a current coggins.
Smart Jazzie, 2011 AQHA mare- SOLD
For sale or MAY TRADE: "Smart Jazzie" is a 5yo daughter of IM DUN SMART (AQHA point earner and $4424) out of a daughter of NRCHA money earner SPOOKS JAZZMAN. Her full pedigree can be found on allbreedpedigree. This mare stands right at 14h, is broke to ride and was started on cattle late spring this year. Has a ton of cow, very sensible and quiet and has been ridden outside with no issues. Unfortunately, she sustained a soft tissue stifle injury after being kicked by a pasture mate. My vet thinks she may recover with rest and turnout, but I am selling her as broodmare sound right now. I do not have space to keep a horse on turnout, so I am offering her to someone who might be able to use her as a broodmare- or to someone willing to take a chance on her returning to soundness. She is current on dental, farrier, deworming, and has a current coggins.
Fannys Tayler Made, 2004 ApHC mare- SOLD!! Thanks for all the intereset in Gypsy!
This mare is one of a kind. I hesitate to sell her now, but I have too many mares and need to cut back to give my pastures a break. Gypsy is a quiet, beginner/kid type of horse. She has a kind and willing disposition and does her very best every time you get her out. She rides English/Western/bareback, neck reins and lopes off easily on both leads. She has comfortable gaits and is easy to ride. Would love to see this mare used in a lesson program. Gypsy has been used on trails and for lessons/summer camps. She gets along well with other horses in the pasture, respects electric fencing and is easy to catch.
Joe Quintana, 2008 APHA gelding- BEGINNER FRIENDLY!!! SOLD!!
“Domino” is the kind of horse everyone talks about owning but that few people ever find. I hesitate to use the words “beginner friendly” to describe any horse, but if I were to use the term it would apply to this guy. Domino is one of a kind. He stands around 14.2-3h and is as stout as they come. I can think of only a handful of horses I have ever encountered that really had it all. He is not only a gentle, kind-natured soul, but he has the looks and the buttons under saddle to make him really stand out.
Domino was started as a reiner and rides around the way we all like one to do. He lopes quiet circles on a loose rein and waits for your cue to speed up or slow down. He neck reins, side passes and I have swung a rope off of him. Domino ran barrels for several years before I got him with youth riders, and could probably be tuned back up as a barrel horse with a little conditioning. Rides English/Western, and though he doesn't have a lot of experience over fences, he'll gladly pop over a course of crossrails with no fuss. Domino is also a fantastic trail horse and has been ridden around traffic, through mud and water, and around buggies/ATVs, motorcycles, and in large groups of horses. I have used him to pony young horses on the trail, and even at Love Valley on a busy holiday weekend with no problems. He has been used in lessons and summer camps and is well versed in carrying young/timid riders around. He will also work a gate. Domino loves attention and enjoys being groomed and fussed over. Please inquire for more information about this nice gelding.

Ellie, 2009 gaited molly mule- SOLD- Headed to PA! Thanks :-)
“Ellie” is a 7yo gaited molly mule. She stands around 14.2h and is stout with good feet. She is quiet for grooming and saddling and has no issues handling her ears or legs/feet, has been shod but is currently barefoot. Ellie stands for mounting/dismounting and has an easy running walk that requires no special bitting/riding to maintain. Ellie has been ridden in the arena and on the trail and even has some show experience. She is very sweet on the ground once she knows you, but she will require a mule-savvy, experienced rider/handler ONLY to gain her trust and confidence. Ellie is not crazy or dangerous, and there is not a mean bone in her body, but she is extremely fearful and nervous under saddle, especially with a new rider. Though she will ride fairly quietly for me, she will need an adjustment period in her new home. Please contact me if you think you can provide this girl with a good situation. Thanks for considering Ellie.
Zeb, 1998 grade gelding- SOLD!!! Headed to SC- Thanks!
Mr. Zeb is 14.2h stout built grade pony gelding. He is an unusual- and beautiful- color, somewhere between a buckskin/dunalino/appaloosa with dapples. His exact age is unknown, but he is approx. 17-18yrs. Zeb is sound, travels easily barefoot even over gravel and is ready to be a trail mount for an intermediate rider on up. He has little arena experience but is well-versed with most trail obstacles, including mud/water and bridges. He will lead or follow in a group, and though he'd prefer to walk/trot, he will canter with encouragement. Zeb has not been used much in the last few years so he will require a confident rider to get him going again. No buck/bolt or rear, just needs some consistent riding and handling since he's been sitting a while. A good home is the primary concern for this guy- special consideration to the right circumstances. Will be sold with a buyback/contract. Zebby is current on shots/coggins/deworming and dental work. He has been meticulously cared for his entire life and is sound and ready for the trails.
Tyme to Shine, 2011 NASMA john mule- SOLD to LA!!
Slate is a 2011 14.2h NASMA reg. john mule. AWESOME guy here. Rides the very best, has some handle, neck rein, pivots, side passes, works off leg pressure and will open/close a gate and lopes quiet circles in the pen. Lots of trail experience, crosses water/mud, has been around buggies, galloping horses, etc... will ride out alone or in a group, front or back. No holes with this guy, no buck/bolt. Not for a beginner as he is young (4yr), but a very quiet and laid back mule.
ONLY for sale because I have suddenly lost my pasture and need to disperse my herd. Please see paintedqhfarm.weebly.com for more videos and photos.

KT Easter Parade, 2000 AHA mare- SOLD!
Easter is a 15h Pure Polish mare. She is a fantastic broodmare- is easy to get in foal (and to keep in foal), foals easily and is a fantastic mother. In addition, she is broke to ride and is suitable for light riding. We have used her for pony rides and walk trot lunge lessons with kids. Easter currently has a grey colt at her side by Equiford (*Equifor/*Gazal al Shaqab x Elekzera/*Goliat). Easter will be available after her colt is weaned in October. I will consider offers or trades on her to a GOOD home with references.
Sam's Miss Dolly, 2002 AQHA mare- SOLD!
“Dolly” is a 2002 14.3-15h AQHA buckskin mare. I have had this horse since the fall of 2014 and purchased her to use for our beginner lesson program. Dolly gave lessons to children and adult riders through the winter. She has since been in training for dressage and is a solid Training/schooling First level horse. She will leg yield, knows her leads and is steady in the contact. She is just starting more advanced lateral work, including shoulder/haunches in. We have jumped her over x-rails and small fences.
Dolly will also ride western. She has moved cows in the pasture, will side pass, neck rein and work a gate. She is quiet on trails, through water and mud and has been ridden off the farm by herself.
I feel this mare would suit an amateur lower level event or dressage rider looking for a SOUND, sane horse that can ride out safely and is low-maintenance (no supplements, injections, “baggage” or issues). She is a blast to ride for someone who can appreciate a forward-moving, responsive mount. She could double as a “husband” horse for trails, and though I feel at this point she is too forward and responsive for a timid or beginning rider given the training she’s had, we still use her on occasion for walk/trot lunge/leadline lessons and she’s fantastic.

Lady Antebellum CA, 2010 AHA mare- SOLD!
Lady is a 5yo Arabian mare. Excellent endurance prospect, especially for a taller rider as she stands an HONEST 15.3h. Lady has seen many trail miles, goes out alone or in a group, VERY quiet, willing young lady, not spooky, no nonsense. Has a big, ground covering stride and is forward moving without being pushy or uncontrollable, rides off on a loose rein. Has had some ring work, wtc circles. Awesome girl here. Barefoot but has been shod, current coggins.
Prickory Poco Sugs, 2012 AQHA mare- SOLD!!
"Sugar," 3yo bay filly by an own son of Docs Hickory. Stands around 14.3h and STOUT. She has had all of her groundwork, lunges and long lines, has been ponied, ties, bathes, etc... Started under saddle, going quietly in the pen, lopes circles, good stop. Green but very willing. Excellent barrel/pole prospect- quick but very good minded and gentle. I need to move this mare along, so please inquire for more info... may consider partial trades for tack or offers.
San Joes Ltl Syd, 2012 AQHA mare- SOLD!!!!
2012 sorrel AQHA filly. By San Joe Playboy (NCHA earnings of $67,534) and out of an NCHA money earning daughter of Haidas Little Pep. Stands 13.3-14h. She has been ridden out around the farm and will walk trot canter circles in the arena, stops and backs. VERY quiet and willing mare- has not put a foot out of place and does her best to give the right answer. I had intended to sort and pen on her, and I think she has the ability to be a good one, as she's very quick and catty and has a great stop. Unfortunately, I am cutting back on my herd so she's for sale.
PLEASE NOTE: the video below was filmed during her fourth ride under saddle. She has filled out some and has had a few more rides.

Theodore, 2003 grade donkey gelding- SOLD!! Thanks Linda!!
Blyth Shampagne, 1993 AHA mare- ADOPTED!!!
Shampagne is looking for a great home Stands around 15.1h. This is truly one of the sweetest, gentlest creatures I've had the pleasure of being around. Shampagne raced in her younger years and was later used as a broodmare. Currently starting back under saddle wtc in the arena and doing fantastic! She is sound and healthy and would be suited for light riding, perhaps as a trail horse/lessons/youth horse. Shampagne is available to an approved "adopter" with a contract. Does great barefoot and is fantastic in the pasture with other horses.
Brudder to Boon, 2004 AQHA gelding- SOLD!!! Thanks :-)
Boon is a 14.2h black gelding. This guy is a jack of all trades- the longer we keep him, the more useful he becomes. Boon was used as a rope horse before I got him, is an excellent trail horse- will go where you point his head (really), pony another horse, work a gate, ride off alone and is not spooky or silly. He is the kind of horse you can leave sitting for months and get him out- he’ll be the same horse he was before. NO buck, rear, bolt, etc. We have hauled Boon to local shows where he was entered in trail and ranch pleasure classes- as well as leadline. He has a great handle- one-handed neck rein, stops and pivots, responds to seat and leg pressure. Boon will also ride English and has been started over x-rails. With his handle, he’d be an easy horse to finish for barrels and poles (he’s been started on barrels but not finished). He has been used in our lesson program for beginner riders. Boon is responsive and forward and is a fun ride for an experienced rider, yet he is quiet and safe enough for a confident beginner rider. Boon is currently barefoot but has been shod in front while we have had him. He sells with a current coggins.
Sierras Mystic Star, 2010 AQHA mare- SOLD!!!
"Splash" is a 15h dun mare. She is an excellent trail horse, not spooky, will ride off alone or in a group and has been around water, mud, traffic, hikers, dogs, etc. She will also pony another horse (see videos). Splash is a quiet, level-headed young mare and rides the same every time you get her out. She is soft in the bridle, will pivot and sidepass and will open a gate. Although I can't claim that I'm much with a rope, I have swung a rope off of this mare and have used her to drag brush. Splash is a quiet and uncomplicated ride. Splash rides english or western and is started over cross rails. She is currently barefoot, uses boots in front for trail riding. Recently, Splash started her career as a kids lesson horse... something she excels at. Although she is young, she is sensible and quiet, and is very tolerant of rider error... her default is to stop! This mare is one of a kind. She can transition from babysitting a child to riding soft and forward for an experienced rider. She will be used in our lesson program until she is sold- please inquire for more information.
Mr Niceguys Hickory, 2011 APHA colt- SOLD!!
Toby is one of my personal horses offered for sale because I am cutting back. Toby is by Nomore Mr Niceguy (NCHA earnings over $22k), dam goes back to High Brow Hickory. Should mature around 14.2h. Very well started under saddle, has had a lot of trail miles. I've hauled him to Love Valley and other local trail systems, he crosses mud and water and has been through some pretty rough terrain, has seen traffic, buggies, galloping horses, etc. VERY level headed and quiet guy here. Would make an excellent cow horse/sorting prospect or even a hunter from his movement... he is started on cattle and rides quietly in the arena. Very nice slow lope, naturally low headed and soft in the bridle. Pivots, sidepasses and will work a gate. Toby has even given pony rides to kids- to meet him is to know how fantastic a horse he is! Please inquire for more information. Looking for a great home for this fantastic guy :-)
Git, 2005 Jockey Club reg. mare, I FOUND A HOME!!!
Git is a 9yo 15.3h TB mare available to a good home with a contract. This horse is boarding at my farm and her owner can no longer afford to keep a horse, so Git needs to find a home asap. She sustained a hind fetlock injury a year ago but has been cleared by the vet for a future of light riding. Would make a great walk/trot lesson horse or therapy horse. She is excellent with kids and has given pony rides with no issues. This mare is super sweet, has excellent movement and is very athletic- great sport horse broodmare prospect. Please note that Git is a cribber and is controlled easily with a miracle collar (which will come with her). Video in comments is from 9/2. Thanks for looking
Red, 2007 grade QH gelding- SOLD!!
Red is a 15.1h grade quarter gelding. He is at the farm on consignment for a friend. Red has a great handle- one-handed neck rein, good stop and back, sidepasses, pivots, lopes off. He will pony another horse. Since he's been here, we've trail ridden him around the farm and have ridden him in the arena. I have also used him to move cows in the pasture. No buck or rear, yet I'd say he needs an intermediate rider, as he is too responsive for a beginner. Currently barefoot and does fine, new coggins. Check out his video :-)
Eastman MF, 2011 Arabian colt- SOLD! Congratulations Steve and Stefanie :-)
Eastman is a pure polish colt... stands around 14.3. He is an extraordinary athlete with limitless potential. Very well started under saddle in the bosal and snaffle bit, has been trail ridden and just beginning his introduction to cattle. Eastman shows a lot of aptitude for cow work; he has a good stop and excellent use of his hindquarters. So far, he is riding quietly in the arena and on the trail, responds to leg pressure and is even learning to open a gate. He is a sensible colt that is easy to handle, clip, trim, haul, etc.
Gus, 2005 john mule- SOLD!!
14.2 hd john mule approx. 9 yo; Rides out alone, in a group, trails, will pen cows/bulls if you need to. Can leave him out for months and he'll be the same trusty mule you left the last time you rode him. Utd on shots, just trimmed, loads ties bathes, etc..Very sweet guy. Comes to the gate to meet you. he has a good walk, trot and will go from a stop to a lope, he is handy and has a neck rein, fun fun to ride out and about; he is good to groom, saddle, bridle, pick up his feet and for the farrier, he's been barefoot and does well that way; Ready for his new home owner travels all the time and doesn't wanna see this guy go to waste. See his videos- some trail footage in Casper's trail video :)
Casper, 2007 john mule- SOLD! Thanks Sylvia!
Casper is a 7yo pony mule (around 13.1 or 2h and stocky). He is a super sweet, gentle fellow- he loves attention and grooming, is easy to catch and handle, especially once he knows you :-) Casper has been ridden by kids, but I'd say he'd best suit an intermediate rider. NO meanness or silly business with this guy- he is priced at $500 right now because I need space at the farm- get him now before I sell something else!
Moone Starlight, 2005 AQHA mare- SOLD!
Star is a cutting bred sorrel mare, Colonel Freckles and Grays Starlight on her papers. Stands 15h, good bone, excellent feet. This mare has been at my farm in training since the winter- has been trail ridden and started on cattle. She has a good handle, stop/rollback, soft in the bridle. No funny business, but definitely too quick for a beginner. I had intended to keep this mare for a while longer but would consider selling her now to make space at the farm.
Auropia, 2011 AHA mare- SOLD!
Auropia is a grey Pure Polish Arabian filly by park champion Europia+. She is a tractable, willing young mare with a bright future as a performance horse. This filly has been an absolute joy to work with- she
thrives on human interaction and loves having a "job" to do. Auropia has had extensive ground work: she lunges and long lines, has been
hauled and ponied on trails and through water, and is always up for a new
adventure. She also clips, ties, bathes and hobbles. Every question I have asked of her has been met with a resounding
"YES!" Ready to be your next best friend. Will consider offers/trades to the right situation... UPDATE: As of March, 2014, Auropia has been started under saddle and is going quietly wtc in the arena and on short hacks around the farm. Please see her videos!
Chosen Allure, 2001 AHA mare- I found a home :-)
Allure is a 14.2h pure polish arabian mare. She will be looking for a new home during the summer of 2014. Allure is a sweet, friendly girl. She gets along well with other horses, is sound and healthy. She is broke to ride but hasn't been ridden much lately; however, she has been nothing but quiet to work around. Please note that Allure is a light cribber- I have observed her cribbing on occasion in the stall during feeding time, not in the pasture. Looking for a forever home for this sweet girl- she could have future as a riding horse or broodmare.. contact me if interested!
Major's Power Stroker, 2008 TWH mare- SOLD!!!
Ebony is a black registered walking horse mare, stands around 15.1. Traces back to Prides Generator, several WGC on her pedigree. VERY quiet, easygoing mare with a nice gait, rides off willingly by herself. This is a super sweet girl, easy to be around, load, catch, lead, tie, etc. Currently shod all around, great feet, sound and ready to be your next trail partner. Unlike many of the gaited horses I have ridden, this mare is very laid-back. I believe she would suit about anyone with just a little riding experience. She is not spooky or silly, and will stand quietly or wait for your signal to go. Ebony will also side pass and back easily. She's ready to be your next trail partner... see her videos :-) Located in Gastonia, NC
Baron Jack's Chiszum, 2009 AQHA gelding- SOLD!!
Yankee is a 4yo 15.2h chestnut gelding. This guy is stocky built with good legs and feet. Great working/ranch/roping bloodlines, sire qualified for the world show in team roping. This is a VERY quiet, level-headed kind of guy- great on trails and is as fearless a horse as I've ever been on. Nothing (!) bothers him. Update- as of February 2014, Yankee will enter full time training and will be available this spring. Check back for more info!
Scooter, Gaited john mule- SOLD!
Scooter is a gaited pony mule measuring around 13.2 or 3. He's a great trail mule with a big step and a nice running walk. While not a racking mule, Scooter can really step out and cover some ground. He is not spooky or silly on the trail, no buck or bolt. Would be best suited for an intermediate or experienced rider, as he is forward moving (but very controllable) on the trail. In spite of his short stature, Scooter rides like a much taller mule and can really cover ground. Will trot as well, but very easy to get into a gait. This guy is no trouble to clip, tie, load, and is good with feet and ears. He is difficult to catch unless he knows you, but once you've established trust with him will walk right up to be caught. He would do best in a mule-savvy home.
Shesa Smart Hustler, 2003 AQHA mare- SOLD
Lacey, 14.1h palomino mare. She has had some cutting training in her past and is super on cows- great little horse for sorting/penning. Smart Little Lena/Cutter Bill on her papers. I have used her around the farm and to gather cattle- she is super reliable regardless of the situation. Lacey is great on trails, will work a gate and has been used to pony other horses. I have ridden her at Love Valley, NC over several busy holiday weekends where she gladly ponied a green, nervous colt through the crowds and happily led her through mud and over rough terrain. Nothing bothers this mare. She is brave and surefooted, and she will go anywhere (!) you point her head. I have ridden her all over the farm and out into the woods by herself checking fences, down steep inclines, up banks and through deadfall and thick brush. She has a ground covering walk and will get you where you want to go. Lacey will also ride English and although still green over fences, she will jump a small course and could be used for a confident youth rider for 4H or pony club.
Lopin' Mac Attack, 2006 AQHA & NFQHA mare- SOLD! Thanks repeat buyers Amy and Todd!
Roxy is a gorgeous dun mare standing around 14.2h. She's about as stout as she is tall (see her pics in the slide show!), with good legs and great feet. This mare is a special find- she's as sweet and friendly as she is beautiful, and in addition, she is super solid under saddle. This is a very dependable, easy going gal. She'll be the same when you get her out to ride, whether she's been turned out or up in a stall. Roxy is a fantastic trail mount: she knows her job and does it with no fuss. She could suit a lesson program or novice rider. Will ride away from the barn willingly, have also been on her bareback in a halter. I have used her to pony horses around the farm. Currently barefoot and up to date on coggins, trimming, deworming. Thank you Painted QH farm (paintedqhfarm.weebly.com) for Roxy's video!
Fred, 2003 john mule- SOLD!!
Fred is a 14.2 hd bay john mule, he is as sweet and friendly as he is gorgeous. Fred will catch you in the pasture- he loves attention of any kind and is easy to clip, lead, load. He respects fencing and does well turned out or in a stall. No vices. Fred has been trail ridden in the mountains- although he has had little arena work, he will jog and lope easily and is a very seasoned trail mule. No issues with this guy whatsoever. Sells current on coggins, vaccinations, trimming and deworming. Located in Gastonia, NC.

Zip Blueeyed Bonanza, 2009 APHA gelding- SOLD!!
Blue is a 14.3h sorrel overo paint gelding. I can't say enough good things about this sweet guy. He's got it all... this is truly as seasoned and quiet a 4yo as I have ever seen, is very solid on trails, NOT spooky... nothing phases him. He's the type of horse you just want to keep riding- he is very willing and tries very hard to do what is asked of him. Blue has a naturally soft, low-headed way of going. He responds well to leg pressure, has a good stop, and a beautiful, SLOW jog and lope. He will pivot and side-pass and can open a gate. I have already used him to pony a less experienced horse around the farm and on the trail. I have ridden him off the farm by himself. He never misses a beat, no matter the circumstances... Blue will ride quietly in the bosal or a snaffle bit. He is steady and easygoing in every way, and is very forgiving- his answer is to simply stop and stand if he doesn't understand what you want. I have had beginner riders on him, and although I would be hesitant to sell a young horse to a beginner, this guy definitely has "husband horse" in his future. I could see him fitting a lesson program, or anyone looking for an uncomplicated, consistent ride. Blue has recently been riding english and has been started over crossrails.. stay tuned for more info. Located in Gastonia, NC
Poco Stripe Rose, 2001 AQHA mare- SOLD!
Rose is a gorgeous buckskin mare with old foundation bloodlines. She stands around 15h and is STOCKY. Rose has been trail ridden and has a good handle. She neck reins, stops and back nicely and has a forward, ground covering walk. Rose is a safe, easygoing mare both on the ground and under saddle. She gets along nicely with other horses in the pasture, respects fencing and is easy to be around. Although she has a motor and likes to move out, she is very reliable and is not spooky or flighty. Rose has no bad habits and is ready to be a fantastic trail partner for about any rider looking for a fun, safe and beautiful trail mount. Email me for more details. Currently located in Gastonia, NC.
Dan, 1998 Grade QH gelding- BABYSITTER!!! :-) ...SOLD!
Dan is a 15h sorrel gelding. He is registered with the AQHA; however, his papers were misplaced so he is being sold as a grade horse. He is a stocky built solid guy. He is QUIET and gentle, and was being ridden in his former home by a 6 year old. Dan would suit a beginner or child- he is extremely laid back. He has three speeds: slow, slower, and stand still. He will canter/lope, but not without a LOT of urging. Dan would prefer to walk or jog slowly. I'd love to find him a great home where he will be appreciated for the babysitter he is.. if you're interested in this sweet guy, please contact me. Located in Gastonia, NC.
Moore Moonlite Play, 2003 AQHA mare- Decided to keep her for now :-)
Angel is a stout built 14.2h mare with cutting/cow horse bloodlines going back to Freckles Playboy. Angel is very responsive and shows a lot of interest in cows. We have sorted cows on her and used her for trail riding. She has been used to pony colts and is very steady around young horses in the pen and on the trail. She will open and close a gate and has been used to check fencing around the farm. Although she has been ridden by beginners, Angel would best suit an experienced rider, as she has a lot of handle and is very quick. Located in Blacksburg, SC
Little Golden Jack, 2003 AQHA gelding- SOLD- Thanks for all the interest in this awesome guy!
"Whiskey" is a 14.3h palomino gelding with ranch/cow horse bloodlines. He is as gentle and well-broke as he is beautiful. Although I hesitate to describe any horse as "bomb proof," if I were to actually use that label on a horse, he would be the one. Whiskey is one of a kind. He is gentle and QUIET, has seen countless trail miles, including overnight rides in the mountains of VA and busy holiday weekends at Love Valley, NC. He has been there and done it all, and nothing bothers him. Ride him English or western, bareback, even bridleless. He has jumped a few small fences, and would potentially suit a lesson program looking for an all-around, reliable mount. Like all of our horses, Whiskey has sorted cattle, been used to pony other horses on the trail, will work a gate and has had a rope swung off of him. He will side pass and pivot, lopes off, and has a great stop and back. Although he is well-trained and will respond to seat, leg and hand aids, he will gladly plod along... or stand still... until you tell him otherwise. This is one of those rare horses that absorbs rider error. He is extremely forgiving: if you don't ask correctly, his answer will be to slow down or stop. He would make an excellent confidence builder for a timid or beginning rider, or would suit a more experienced rider looking for something that is responsive and well-trained, but is safe, quiet, and reliable. Located in Blacksburg, SC
Maggie, 2005 molly mule- SOLD!!
Maggie is an 8yo 14.2hd petite built Molly mule; Very pretty and refined; She has been owned by some friends for the last 2 years, they decided to sell to get a larger mule as they are both taller people. Maggie will bond to her owner and loves treats. She handles and rides great and is a seasoned trail mount; she recently went on a 3 day riding trip and did very well, is not spooky and is riding out front confidently. She has not offered to buck or run off or kick or bite in any way, She's uncomplicated to ride and be around. I have ridden her by herself around the farm with no problems. Maggie will clip, load, haul, and tie easily, is fine with dogs while riding as well. UTD on coggins/worming/ shots and vaccines for the year. She has primitive barring and stripes on her legs, dorsal stripe and a cross. She will carry full saddle bags and wears a QH bar saddle with breast strap, she has not been used to a crupper but we will be using one on her soon. Sound with no vices

Classy is a 14.2h dun mare. She is a quiet, easy mare to handle both on the ground and under saddle, has been ridden around cattle and is good on trails. We have hauled and trail ridden her extensively. Better suited for an intermediate rider on up, as she is responsive to leg, hand and seat aids. Rides best in a mild hackamore or bosal. We have used her for ranch sorting, to gather cattle and check fence. She is very reliable and is the same horse every time you get her out. Easy to shoe, clip, haul, etc.

Mossy Rocks Tyme to Shyne, 2011 NASMA reg. john mule- SOLD!!
This is Slate, a 2011 NASMA registered john mule out of an APHA
mare and a nice jack, should mature close to 15h. Slate has had extensive handling, he ties/cross-ties, clips, loads and hauls nicely, catches easily, is good for the farrier and is a friendly, sweet little guy. He has also worn a saddle and has had some ground work done in the round pen. Would make a phenomenal western performance prospect, as he has beautiful gaits and is exceptionally athletic- I have often seen him gallop across the pasture and slide to a stop on his hindquarters like a reiner. I had planned to use him as a penning/sorting mule.

Slippery Freckles, 2005 AQHA mare- SOLD!! Congratulations, Amy!
Freckles is a 2005 14.3h AQHA registered mare with cutting/cow
horse bloodlines. If you’re looking for a trail horse, she is the one! This is a very sweet, good-minded mare. She has a great handle, is soft in the bridle, backs, sidepasses and stops easily. Freckles will open a gate, has been roped off of, and will navigate typical trail obstacles with no fuss. We have used her to pony horses and have sorted cows with her. She will ride off quietly in a group or by herself and is reliable regardless of the circumstances.
Freckles would make a great ranch pleasure horse, competitive
trail horse, or even a lesson horse. She is very quiet and forgiving, has been ridden by beginners, but has enough training and is responsive enough to be an enjoyable ride for a more experienced rider. This mare is one of a kind. If you have been searching for a dependable new partner, check out her pictures and video.

Ten Shot 'rita, 2003 TB mare- SOLD :-)
Rita is an unraced TB mare (JC reg). Stands 15.3h, quiet, nice mover, very uncomplicated ride. She will hack out by herself, many trail miles, not spooky or silly. I have ridden her western and english, used her to pony colts and to push cows in the pasture. This is a super sweet, super broke gal- could suit a confident beginner rider with soft hands. She has been used for lessons, has experience over fences but more recently used as a trail horse. Looking for a great home for this girl.
